Deirdre Hofer

Deirdre Hofer is a Vancouver-based artist who works in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, and installation. She graduated from UBC with a degree in Fine Arts and BCIT with a certificate in Architectural Design. Selected exhibitions include Summer Slideshows with David Wisdom at the Vancouver Art Gallery (2012 and 2016), which included her short videos Melting Vanilla and Burning White (respectively). Man Overboard at the Lake Country Art Gallery (2017) exhibited Melting Vanilla, and Vernon Public Art Gallery exhibited her installation Fallen in a solo exhibition of the same name (2018). Her work Vanilla appeared in Harper’s Magazine (2019). Atmosphere, a two person collaboration at Tidal Art Centre in Lund (2022) was an introduction to her works on paper series Snow, and Winter Group Exhibition at Paul Kyle Gallery (2022-2023), introduced a large format painting from her Falling Snow series. Richmond Art Gallery’s City Hall Galleria exhibited her Falling Snow series of oil paintings, in a solo exhibition of the same name (2024).
